In a statement, Hamas invited the “noble people of the world” to say prayers in mosques and Islamic center across the globe for Sinwar as a tribute to the great national and Islamic leader of Palestine who was martyred on the path of defending the holy land of Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
It also called for rallies of rage against the Israeli regime.
Meanwhile, the Islamic Jihad, another Palestinian resistance movement based in Gaza, deplored the martyrdom of Sinwar.
It called on all Palestinian groups and factions to stand united against the Zionist regime, which has launched a genocidal war in Palestine and is carrying out crimes against humanity.
The Palestinian National Liberation Movement (Fatah) also said in reaction to the assassination of Sinwar that by resorting to terrorism and massacres, Israel cannot eliminate the Palestinian people’s demand for regaining their legitimate rights an achieving freedom and independence.
Sinwar was found dead in southern Gaza’s Rafah city on Thursday, wearing a combat vest with an AK-47 rifle by his side.

In the past year, Sinwar, 62, played an instrumental role in coordinating and supervising the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation in the Gaza Strip.
Before becoming Hamas’s leader in Gaza in 2017, Sinwar spent 22 years in an Israeli prison. He was released as part of a prisoner swap in 2011.
